Round two’s cool and windy conditions set the stage for a difficult morning wave at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The field of 144 athletes was narrowed down to 73, with the cut line at even par. Among those advancing, several players posted career-best rounds to move up the leaderboard, setting the stage for an exciting final round.

Riley Rennell fired a 4-under 68 to kick off the morning wave. The Epson Tour veteran started strong, with a birdie on her first hole, followed by two more on holes four and six. Rennell played steadily on her back nine, sinking back-to-back birdies on holes 16 and 17 to post a 2-under 34 to find herself in a tie for third.

After a 5-under in round one, Valery Plata carded a steadier 2-under round of 70, jumping her to 7-under total, moving her into a tie for third after round two of the Dream First Bank Charity Classic. Valery is looking forward to the final round as she gets to share this week’s tournament experience with a special member of her inner circle, her mother.

In the afternoon, Erika Hara started with a birdie, but shortly after made some early mistakes, to end up only one under par on her opening nine. The 26-year-old made the turn, adding to her birdie count, finding the cup on holes 10 and 14; however, Hara signed for a 2-under 70 on the day to sit two shots back of the lead.

Hailey Jones had a score to chase, and she did just that on Saturday afternoon at the Dream First Bank Charity Classic. The Texas State alumna posted a 2-under opening nine before finishing out her round of 69 for the day. Jones, a recent WATP winner, is in solo second at 8-under par heading into tomorrow, looking for the first professional victory of her career on the Epson Tour.

Jones expressed, “I think it would mean a lot. I think confidence-wise, hopefully I'll be playing out here quite a bit next season. So I think having a good finish, even if tomorrow didn't go exactly how I would want to, I think having two solid days, knowing that I can play out here. I think that it's really good for confidence. It’s just been a really great learning experience this whole week. So a lot to take from it.

Epson Tour rookie Brooke Rivers climbed the leaderboard this afternoon, carding a 7-under 65 to find herself at the top of the leaderboard. Rivers shot 1-under on her opening nine before lighting it up to post a 6-under back nine with four birdies and an eagle. The Canadian native heads into tomorrow not only looking for her first win on the Epson Tour, but also a chance to move up in the Race for the Card standings, currently ranked No. 31, to help her odds of clinching her LPGA Tour card for the 2026 season even higher.

Rivers commented, “A strong finish would guarantee that I could go to stage three, and it would help me in making the top 15 and getting my card for the next year.”

Nicole Lorup, Riley Smyth, Yana Wilson, and Napat Lertsadwattana sit three shots out of first place heading into the final round. Wilson posted a 1-under round of 71, making four birdies and three bogeys. Lertsadwattana had an up and down round to sign for an even par 72 as she heads into the final round looking to add her first professional victory to her resume, as the 2025 Epson Tour season only has three events remaining.
